Leisure Clubs

Accounting Club:
The Student Accounting Club supports RMIT Vietnam accounting students. With support from the Accounting Department, the club organises regular accounting quizzes, holds workshops and offers tutorials for students. It also has strong links with accounting companies and organises regular industry tours. Business Club:
The Student Business Club is one of the most active student clubs at RMIT Vietnam. The club creates a variety of opportunities for all RMIT Vietnam students to learn outside the classroom. They host Business Manner Training, Time Management Workshops, assist in Career Day and organise charity events. Through these activities students can gain valuable experience, explore their potential and build up their portfolios for when they join the workforce. Design Club:
The Student Design Club supports RMIT Vietnam Design students by holding regular tutorial classes focusing on graphic design, website creation, 2D interactive animation and film and audio events every semester. English Club:
The Student English Club supports and promotes RMIT Vietnam English students and the RMIT Vietnam community in speaking English on campus. They do this by organising fun activities such as debates and public speaking events every semester. These are great activities for students to increase their ability and confidence in speaking English in a range of environments. Environment Club:
The Student Environment Club has been running since 2008. It aims to raise the community's awareness of environmental issues through exciting, creative, meaningful and relevant activities. Annual events held by the club include Earth Day and Green Week. Recycling drives have also proven to be popular and successful semester activities. Event Club:
The Student Event Club supports students who enjoy organising big events. The club provides a great environment for students to learn and experience team work, logistics and all the behind the scenes work involved in producing a big event. Annual events the club organises are the Masquerade Party and the Christmas Party and many one-off events throughout the year. This exciting club brings fun and entertainment to all students, staff and community with their special events. Game Club:
The Student Game Club has created a place for students and staff to relax and enjoy the thrill of computer and console games on campus. The club offers a wide variety of games and has plans to expand in the future with 'real world' simulation games. International Club:
The Student International Club has been providing support to foreign students since 2007. The club aims to help these students adapt, understand and get involved in their new environment. Photography Club:
The Student Photography Club was established in 2009 due to a growing student demand to be able to capture special moments with a camera. The club regularly holds classes and information sessions to swap photography ideas. This is a great resource for new photographers as well as the more experienced. Life Wellness Clubs
Aikido Club:
The Student Aikido Club was established to provide students with an opportunity to practice a modern martial with added benefits of creating new friendships and improving overall health and wellness. Regular training sessions for beginners and advanced members are available and Aikido training seminars are frequently organised. Basketball Club:

Ultimate Frisbee Club:
The Student Ultimate Frisbee Club brings an exciting new sport to RMIT Vietnam. It provides a fantastic arena for all students to develop their team-work as it is a mixed gender sport. The club participates in numerous annual tournaments, such as the Singapore Open Tournament and the Vietnam HAT Tournament. The club also hosts mini tournaments and frisbee workshops. Community Groups
AIESEC:
AIESEC, the world's largest student-run organisation, is an international platform for young people to explore and develop their leadership potential so as to have a positive impact on society. C.A.N. (Community Action Network):
The C.A.N. group provides opportunities for students to volunteer their time and skills with a number of charities, NGO's & INGO's. SIFE: (Students In Free Enterprise)

Sports Weekend Schedule


Multipurpose Rooms

2 multipurpose rooms 80sqm and 124sqm (Room number 10.2.10) are located on the north side of the second floor of the REC. These rooms are separated by a moveable partition enabling a combined space of 204sqm. The space is well lit with windows overlooking the tennis courts. Both rooms have hardwood floors (Bamboo) and are equipped with a permanent sound system. The sound systems can be linked when both rooms are used simultaneously. Sports and Recreation and Student Clubs host a variety of fitness, wellness and instructional classes here.

The Fitness Centre

Located on the south side of the ground floor in the REC, is a bright and open 170-sqm space, equipped with state of the art fitness equipment.

The Centre has 11 cardiovascular machines (5 treadmills, 3 ellipticals and 3 bikes) all with built in entertainment consoles that allow users to watch TV, listen to music, or link IPods for entertainment options.

The Centre contains a variety of strength and conditioning equipment with a mix of circuit machines and free weights. Adjacent is a stretching, warm up and cool down area.
